About Us
Dr. Nemec, a native of Missouri, graduated from the University of Monterrey, Mexico, in 1983. She received her internship
and residency at a Yale Affiliate hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut in 1986 followed by a Nephrology Fellowship at Baylor College of
Medicine in Houston, Texas under the direction of Wadi Suki, MD. She is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She was a primary Nephrologist for a large clinic in Wisconsin for seven years prior to establishing MDPA Locums, Inc. with Mr. Rand
in 1996. While in Wisconsin, she directed the dialysis unit and established the peritoneal dialysis and the insulin pump programs,
which were excellent training for her varied positions as a locum tenens nephrologist.
DOROTHY NEMEC, M.D., M.S.P.H.
LARRY RAND, PA-C
Mr. Rand has been a nationally certified Physician Assistant in both Medicine and Surgery since 1981. After training at the
University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, he spent ten years in remote areas of South Dakota, working various practices and establishing
rural health clinics. In 1989, he was recruited to Wisconsin to develop a program to utilize PAs in General and Vascular Surgery,
Urology, and Orthopedics. This required personal competency in each of these areas. The past eight years have been dominated by Nephrology
and its surgically-related problems. Larry has provided significant hospital care and routine clinic visits, in addition to
being responsible for outpatient dialysis rounds and the upkeep of health records for the large dialysis populations he has covered.
